How does the bonus work on the Ranking page?

I understand the point system, but then we all have a % next to our points in a column titled Bonus. I just looked through the site and did some quick searching of the forum and did not find the answer (so please forgive me if I should have been able to find this answer easily without this post.)

Bonus is the additional % of your points that get added on top of your ranking points

You get a bonus for mining on different planets
You get a bonus for finding more variety of ores
You get a bonus for finding different sizes ..

Its all in good fun and no point in taking it too seriously : )
