Ore regeneration

Good Day Guys/Girls.

New to Entropia Universe and new to the forums! I have started playing Entropia in the last week and had already decided on my profession. Currently going to try and specialise in mining and possibly crafting.

I would however like to know how long it takes for ores to regenerate on Arkadia? I have found a few good spots, and have been mining all over keeping track of my claims and updating LBML's maps along the way, but would like to return to previous claims, if I knew how long it takes to re-spawn the ores.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers cool smiley

There is many theories about it, so nothing sure I can say. I do believe that 24hours is the normal respawn time , but it might depends on the location (for example FOMA/HELL less) as well as other miniers who do their job in this area (if there is connection between all players mining in certain area?). Simple method is to do own test, which will be pretty simple with LBML. Pick up the area and make for example 5N x 5N square, where N is a drop radius. Check your test field after 24hours and depends on the results go for longer or shorter period.

I hope it helps somehow.

I've found that every 2 (even) hours regenerates pretty good for me...

There is a randomness factor in there too. I have seen where I have had a really nice run in an area, come back several hours later or even next day or so and it's total crap. You may be able to see a general good location but as for the veins, which way they run etc, I think that is all pretty random and changes frequently. Otherwise everyone would be cookie cutter mining really.

All I can say for sure is that it seems that I find garbage or nothing so that You all can HOF grinning smiley
You are welcome.

as one of my mining mentors once taught me

Every 2 hours in same spot has never let me down...

And I stand by that, because I used to global, or find 1 X depo (unamped) at least once every 2 hours (even numbered hours btw) which aint bad.

That may work to some extent but if someone gets in there between your runs and takes it, then you are out of luck.

Has anyone seen any correlation or any 'trends' as to regen such as loot lag is when it regens or something like that?

Or you just mine the area over and over again. If you mine a big enough area that is. Mining works just as hunting in my eyes, ore respwan just the same way but if you mine a very small area the new spawns may just spawn in a close by area so mine big enough areas.

When I was mining last year, I tried to wait at least 8 hours. I had no strong evidence for that though. I can believe 2 hours is enough, but feel that if a spot has been tested, it is basically shout down for the default time... but with that said, I have accidentally mined the same spot just a minute or two apart and got a second hit, sometimes the same drop. It is possible I was just getting a freak probability extreme, I don't know.

My first two months were pretty nice in general, I had three hof, one of which was fairly valuable for using rookie finders.
